It is reported from sources that BlackBerry is making its Messenger (BBM) real-time messaging service available on iOS and Android platforms from summer, aiming to attract and retain users.

“We will make BBM available as the premiere multiplatform messaging solution all around the globe, and even better, it’s free,” BlackBerry Chief executive Thorsten Heins said at the BlackBerry Live conference in Orlando, FL. “This is such a great experience, it’s just too good to keep it only to ourselves.”

He also called the move “a statement of confidence”. BlackBerry says that BBM has more than 60 million monthly active users, with more than 51 million using BBM for an average of 90 minutes per day. Its customers collectively send and receive more than 10bn messages daily, with almost half read within 20 second of being received, it said.

BBM for iOS and Android will start with messaging and groups features, but will roll out “feature parity” including voice calling, screen sharing, and video calling later this year, Heins said. It will be available for devices running iOS 6 and Android 4.0 or higher.

‘Channels’ for BBM

The cross-platform BBM will also include “channels,” a new BBM-based social network that will let businesses and celebrities create affinity groups, Heins said. Some of the initial channels include a Formula 1 car team, BlackBerry itself, and the musical artists Alicia Keys, Goo Goo Dolls, and Tegan and Sara. (Some of the channels are shown in the image above.)

Heins did a demo of Channels, which seem to function a little like Facebook fan pages. If you subscribe to a channel, you can see all of that person’s updates, talk back to them and see what other followers are saying. You can also create your own channels, where you control the content and which can have an unlimited number of followers.

“Imagine the dialogue that can now exist between the BBM users and the businesses, celebrities and groups that they’re passionate about,” Heins said. He also added that the BBM Channels is in beta right now, the commercial launch is coming later this summer.

Recover Videos, Pictures and Video Files from Blackberry Phone

We are so used to saving contacts, important notes, as well as music, videos and photos on our phone, which is easy and convenient. However one thing that troubles us the most is how to recover those files if we accidently delete them. With the advance of programming, these data recovery issue may be made very easy by some data recovery software. Card Data Recovery is one of such tools that you can put your trust on. You could download the free trial version and see how it works to recover various files from the memory card of your Blackberry.

If you are using iOS devices, iPhone Data Recovery could help you restore all the contacts, photos, call history, text messages and other files.

Apps decide what a smartphone really is just as much as the hardware does. Whether it is booking a ticket or finding a restaurant, there are a number of free apps available on Google Play to fulfill your requirements and make your Android smartphone your best companion.

I’d like to list 10 of the most important Android apps selected by friends around me. Hopefully it will be useful to those who just got a brand new Android phone and is about to decorate your phone with useful apps.

No.1 Chrome

A good browser is the NO. 1 must-have app for an Android phone as well as other smart phone, and Google Chrome is one of the best! Your iPhone didn’t come with it out of the box, and inexplicably, your Android phone probably didn’t either!

Chrome is fast, secure and customizable. You can sync it with your desktop Chrome to import all your bookmarks, favorites and passwords. It also has incognito mode for private browsing! You’ll be doing a lot of browsing with your new smartphone so you might as well do it right.

No.2 Google Maps

The days of being stranded in an unfamiliar part of town asking for directions are over. Google Maps is your go-to tool for all things geographic. You can find driving directions, walking directions, public transit maps and more. You can also search for nearby points of interest!

No.4 Skype

Speaking of Skype on Android phone many would wonder why need an app for making phone calls on your phone? Skype lets you make video calls, which your phone may not be equipped to do out of the box. Plus, you can make video or voice calls for free to other Skype users around the world, over either cellular or Wi-Fi. You can even text for free using Skype instant message.

No.5 Facebook

With 1 billion users, Facebook could be called the official social network of humanity, and it’s available as an app for smartphones. With Facebook, you can see your newsfeed, upload photos and videos, and post updates wherever you go! Everything you love about Facebook is available in the mobile app and streamlined for the palm of your hand.

No.6 YouTube

It would be wonderful if we can watch videos on our phone everywhere and anytime. All of YouTube’s 2 billion videos can be seen on YouTube’s official smartphone app. You can even use this app to record, upload, edit and share videos right from your mobile device!

No.7 Onavo Extend

Having too much data on Android phone and want to save more space on your phone? Onavo Extend can automatically compresses the data you send and receive to get up to five times more data out of your plan. It also monitors usage and gives you reports on which apps are hogging your precious data.

No.8 Any.DO

We could find a lot of task managers and to-do lists in the Android market, why choose Any.DO? The app makes it easy to add anything that enters your mind, but then the app lets you drag and drop that task into different folders or onto different days. This makes it as easy to add something to next week’s to-do list as it is for today’s to-do list. Throw in the built-in sharing features and Any.DO can help you manage not just your tasks, but those of friends and coworkers. There are also versions for Chrome, the Web, and even the iPhone.

No.9 National Rail Enquiries

National Rail Enquiries enables you to check live train times, plan your journeys, and get notifications of delays. On first use, the app prompts you to enter a home and work train station, and then you can use the ‘Get me home’ button to see the next available trains.

No.10 Angry Birds Star Wars Temple Run…

Just admit it: One of the real reasons you wanted a smartphone was the games! The Angry Birds series is the most popular of them all!

Android Data Recovery Tool

With Android data recovery tool we will never worry about losing important files from our phone. The tool that we will introduce in this post is Card Data Recovery, with which we could easily recover videos, photos, music, recordings, Word documents as well as a variety of other files from our phone. Different from the 10-must-have Android apps, this program needs to be installed on our PC. We are required to connect our phone to PC and then do the recovery.

Tech giant Nokia on Wednesday unveiled a new addition to its Asha family, Asha 210. According to Nokia, the phone has been designed to offer consumers more social experiences. Asha 210 will launch in Q2 in parts of Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia for about $72 (before tax and subsidies) with single- and dual-SIM models available.

Yes, it’s not a new Windows Phone, or the rumored Lumia 928, and neither is it the Asha 501 touchscreen phone (as we speculated it may be). The Asha 210 has a QWERTY keyboard. But this is no ordinary Asha phone, as not only is the design closer to one we expect to see wrapped around one of Nokia’s Lumia phones, but it’s the first phone to come with a dedicated WhatsApp button. What new features do we get from this newly announced phone? Read on.

Outlook and Features

Nokia Asha 210 is compact and has a sleek, minimalistic aesthetic that’s similar to the Lumia. Save for the top of the phone (which houses a 3.5mm AV jack and Micro-USB port for charging), and a door on the left edge for the optional second SIM slot, its edges remain largely unblemished. It has a polycarbonate construction and a thin, severely bricklike shape. I especially welcome its smooth, almost chalky feel as well.

The Asha 210 measures 4.39 inches tall, 2.36 inches wide, and 0.46 inch thick. At 3.43 ounces, it’s lightweight and fits well in the hand. It comes in four other colors besides yellow: white, cyan, magenta, and black. The front includes a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, with a 320×240-pixel resolution. So, while it won’t display crisp HD video, text and menu icons still looked clear and easy to read when I handled it. Below the display are two selection keys, two buttons to make and end a call, a center navigation key, a shortcut camera button on the right, and a hot key on the left that will launch a certain social networking service

Asha 210 comes with a 2MP camera (resolution 600x1200p) which has features like editing and sharing options, says Nokia, according the listing on the company’s website.

Nokia says the single-SIM Asha 210 will keep going for an astonishing 46 days before needing a recharge. The Asha 210 is set to go on sale before the end of June, will come in several bright colors.

Nokia Phone Date Recovery Tips

As smartphone become an indispensable part of our life, losing important data on our phones constantly troubles us. Good news is that we could seek help from some data recovery tools and leave all these complicated stuff to the program. Card Data Recovery might be of some help in this case. It enables us to recover photos, video, music, etc. from a variety of storage devices such as memory card, camera, and USB flash drive.

Your iPhone get stuck after you installed an iOS update. This may happen when something goes wrong with the update, or when you have extremely low battery life when installing the update

The screen displays silver Apple logo, and it doesn’t change for a few minutes.

You tried to update the OS or restore the device from backup, the process didn’t complete, and now iTunes doesn’t register the device when you connect it to your computer.

Have you ever stuck in such situations before? When an iOS device encounters software- or app-related trouble, it can usually be resolved by restarting the device. In some circumstances, though, the problems are more extensive and require putting iPhone into recovery mode and restoring it.

How to Enter iPhone Recovery Mode

Connect the USB cable used to sync your device to your computer, but do not connect it to your iPhone.

Turn your iPhone off by holding down the sleep/hold button in the top right corner until the slider appears at the top. Slide it. If your phone won’t respond to that, hold the sleep/wake button and the home button together until the screen goes dark.

When the phone is off, hold down the home button and connect the USB cable (which should still be attached to your computer) to the dock connector. The iPhone will turn on and display the Apple logo. Keep holding the home button until the iTunes logo/USB cable appear on the screen. You can let it go then. The phone is now in recovery mode.

If the red empty battery icon appears onscreen, let the phone charge for a few minutes and then restart this process.

When iPhone is in recovery mode, a window will pop up in iTunes saying that the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.

How to Exit iPhone Recovery Mode

You can exit recovery mode before deleting your data and restoring your phone. To do so, unplug the device from the USB cable. Then hold down the sleep/wake button until it turns off. Let go of the button and then hold it down again until the Apple logo reappears. Let it go and the device will boot up. This only works, of course, if your device was working properly previously.

How to Recover Data from iPhone after Exit iPhone Recovery Mode

More often than not, iPhone users would lose data from iPhone after setting iPhone to recovery mode. In this circumstance, we could restore iPhone from backup on condition that we have a recent iPhone backup. If not, still we could rely on iPhone Data Recovery tool to help us recover various data from iPhone such as photos, contacts, call history, notes and more.

Now it is a good time for users to purchase an iPad, or an iPad mini. Many retailers, including Walmart, Best Buy have cut down the price on the iPad and iPad mini.

Walmart has begun offering a modest discount on iPad mini. Normally selling it for $329, now the price turns to $299. Sarah Spencer, a spokeswoman for WalMart, said the retailer did not lower the price of the iPad mini in anticipation of a new model from Apple, but rather to sell even more of the product during periods of gift-giving like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduation season. Ms. Spencer said the iPad mini is one of the best-selling electronics products at Wal-Mart.

Best Buy on Wednesday took its best guess that the latest iPads are coming soon from Apple by slashing prices on one line of the Apple tablets by 30 percent. The $449 16GB tablet is now $314 and the 64GB version is $454. The price cut applies only to third-generation versions of the devices, not the latest vintage, otherwise known as fourth generation iPads. Best Buy is now selling the least expensive third-generation iPad, with 16 gigabytes of storage, for $314.99, down from its previous price of $449.99. A third-generation iPad with 64 gigabytes of storage and support for LTE cellular networks now sells for $545.99, down from $779.99.

Jonathan Sandler, a Best Buy spokesman, said the steep price cuts are not unusual, “especially when looking ahead to potential new product launches by our vendors.” Mr. Sandler stressed that Best Buy has no privileged insight into when Apple might introduce new iPads, beyond the seasonal product introductions most people expect from the company.

Not only the retailers but also many users guess that the cutting down price of iPad, iPad mini is a pretty good sign that Apple is about to replace the old models with new ones.

If you are not holding out for the next version of Apple’s tablet, you can enjoy the cutting down price of iPad and iPad mini. Go for a model which has stayed in your mind. No matter what models you have in hand, you can try iPad Data Recovery (For Windows) or iPad Data Recovery for Mac to help you recover any type of data from your iPad, iPad mini, iPad 4, the new iPad, or iPad 2 when you lose files.

Tablet shoppers have looked forward to picking up the iPad 5, the latest Apple product. Even though Apple switched to the iPad with Retina Display naming convention in October of 2012 when the company announced the present iPad, many people are using the name, the iPad 5, to describe the next iPad.

It is rumored that the iPad 5 release would coincide with an iPad mini 2 release. Many users think that iPad 4 is similar to an iPhone 5S style update, but a good number of Gotta Be Moble staff, and regular users, do not upgrade to the iPad 4 and they are waiting for iPad 5 to come out.

Speculations are that Apple might be looking for an early 2013 release given the scene in the tablet market. Microsoft released Surface and Google came up with the Nexus 10 which infused new competition to iPad market. Therefore, some experts are of the opinion that Apple needs to bring something new and fight the competition off. And it is needless to say that the next iPad needs to score an A+ in all dimensions of looks, design and specifications.

Over the last few months the rumors about the iPad 5th generation have picked up pace which normally suggests a release is imminent.

The first rumor about iPad 5 appeared on January. Though there is more and more competition in the tablet space, the iPad 5 is likely to enter a market without a Galaxy S4-style competitor giving chase. And the earlist iPad 5 release rumor sad the release date is on April.

Many users have longed for knowing the features of the coming iPad 5 and they are as following:

Display: The iPad 5 might come with better display capabilities including better readability, brightness and power efficiency.

Camera: iPad 5 might bring a better front facing camera that has a higher resolution.

A/V Output: The iPad 5 would have astereo speakers for a fabulous A/V experience.

Networking: the iPad 5 would give users better power efficiency while being connected to WiFi or 3G networks through its next generation chipset.

Many users believe that the iPad 5 is worth to be waited and expected. Let’s just wait to see whether it is our style or not. And if you need to recover deleted or lost data from iPad 5, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2 and any other iOS devises, you can try iPad Data Recovery (in Windows) or iPad Data Recovery for Mac to help you.

iPad is really a miracle for us to enjoy and relax. However, we sometimes may complain about some annoying problems, like we may encounter the problem that iPad doesn’t turn on. Is iPad dead? Don’t panic. Try the following instructions when your iPad doesn’t turn on.

Things You Can Do When iPad Doesn’t Turn On

Restart Your iPad
Hold “Home” button and “Sleep/Wake” button at the same time for a few minutes. In some cases, your iPad is still on but some bug may stop the screen from displaying anything. After rebooting the iPad, you will see the Apple logo appear on the iPad screen. Then your iPad is still on good condition and you can keep on using it.
However, this sometimes may not work no matter how hard and how long you hold these two buttons. What else you can do?

Check iPad Battery
If your iPad battery runs very far down, which means your iPad battery doesn’t have enough juice, the iPad won’t turn on, because it is using its remaining battery life to keep your data and settings in it. So you should check whether your iPad battery drains or not. There are two ways: using the adapter to plug your iPad into a wall outlet or plugging your iPad into your computer. And then you can see the iPad screen display this image.

alt: ipad not turning on

Note that if your iPad battery is very low on power, it would take a few minutes for this iPad screen to appear.
After a little while, you can try to turn on your iPad again. If this isn’t workable, it is possible that your adapter is faulty. Then you should try another adapter to see whether things change or not.
What if this won’t work? What else you can do?

Go to Apple Store for Help
If all the above solutions can’t make your iPad turn on as normal, then there may be a hardware failure. Go to any near local Apple store for help. The Apple Store employees are very professional and they can help to fix your problem.

When you meet such intractable problems with iPad, you may be very upset, because you don’t want to lose your data in your iPad. Here I’d like to friendly remind you that if you want to recover any data from iPad, in case they would be lost forever due to some unlucky situations like your iPad is broken, you can try iPad Data Recovery to help you.

Blue screen of death has long been a pain in the neck. The good news is that there might be some new breakthrough in this field. This article will shed some light on what causes computer to crash and what might be the potential to solve this problem in the future and what can be done in the short-term to save our files.

Why the Computer Crashes?

“Blue Screen of Death”, oops, it really breaks our heart to see this happening to anyone of us, which means that your computer has crashed and that our files and data contained in the computer may be at risk. We are all desperate to find a solution to deal with this situation, but, before we go, we should get to know that what is it that can cause our computer to crash in the first place, and here’s the chief cause: according to the researchers has it that it’s the way computers process the instructions in the programs they run, they do that sequentially, one step at a time, once the sequence is broken, the computer is bound to crash.

What to Do when Computer Crashes?

The news has it that a crash-proof computer tactic has been revealed by UK researchers, they have made something called “systemic computer” that taps into the chaos found in nature to enable a computer to heal itself. It’s thrilled news to be heard, unfortunately, it won’t be something rank-and-file computer users will see any time. So, what do we do? Use the alternative Fix Genius to boot up your PC easily, Fix Genius is one piece of powerful software that can solves all the problems ranging from computer unable to start to all booting issues, such as, booting failure, blue/black screen, freezing, crash and the like. All the important files, data will be retrieved caused by any of the above listed problems, no damage would be caused.

Windows 8 is no doubt Microsoft’s most ambitious release recently. However, since its debut on October 26, things went quite the opposite. People had quite a bad rap about it. Complaints are everywhere:

1. The Start menu is gone. The Tile Interface is Really Lame.
It’s quite understandable, people hate changes. People hate most things when they first come out, all we need is time to adjust.

2. There Aren’t Any New Desktop Features!
I am not really sure. There are several highlights:
Faster boot up, new Windows Explorer, new Task Manager, better security, clean installation of Windows with a single click of a button, the Windows 8 store, file history, etc.

3. It’s Bad for Gaming.
It’s a little too soon to say so. There’s no evidence that Valve’s anger will make its support the gaming on Windows 8 any less than gaming on Windows 7.
Considering all changes made to Windows 8, chances are that people will definitely hate Windows 8 at first! Price plays an important in making this decision.

But, on a second thought, it’s not all that bad, why don’t we give it a whirl?
How to Upgrade to Windows 8?

System requirements:
• Processor: 1GHz or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
• RAM: 1GB for the 32-bit version, 2GB for the 64-bit version
• Hard disk space: 16GB for the 32-bit version, 20GB for the 64-bit version
• Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX9 graphics device with WDDM driver

These are the minimum specs. If you intend to run Windows 8 well, the computer you’re upgrading will need to have Windows XP(SP3), Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed. The version you are running has a lot say in determining how much can be transferred.

Windows 7: Windows settings, personal files, and programs
Windows Vista (SP1): Windows settings and personal files (If you don’t have the service pack, you won’t be able to transfer settings)
Windows XP (SP3): personal files only

Back Up your Files
If you’re going the digital route, you’ll of course need an Internet connection and some time for the download to complete. The whole package is about 2GB, and will require around 90 minutes to complete over a broadband connection.

Though Windows 8 installer is perfectly capable of transferring your personal files over during the upgrade, you can’t be too careful! Before upgrading, make sure you’ve got all the documents, pictures, software, videos backed up to other devices.

To get started with the digital download, download and run Windows 8 upgrade assistant.
If you want a physical upgrade disk, you have a couple of options. When you purchase the upgrade through the Assistant you’ll be able to get a disk mailed to you for $15; even if you’re paying the full $40 for the download, that’s still cheaper than buying a boxed copy. You can also put the installer on your own writable DVD or USB drive using an option in the Assistant.

Boxed copy
If you like getting your software the old fashioned way, or feel more comfortable buying a boxed product, you’re going to have to pay a bit more.
It’s very nice to see that Microsoft is making the upgrade process easier and cheaper than ever before.

Our Windows Password Recovery can offer you best solution to lost Windows password recovery, as password setting in Windows 8 by default is required, forgetting Windows 8 password will as usual as forgetting Windows 7 password, etc. Just in case, check out Recover Windows 8 Password.

Random re-boots really drive people crazy, you may lose everything you’ve been working on easily all of a sudden. It’s one of the most annoying things a computer user can face. Be it computer restarting, “blue screen of death” or “black screen of death”, it can be very, very frustrating.

The problem is it may be caused by many problems, here’s what I do to nail down the problem.

1) See whether there is any loose connection to your system. The loose wire is a common reason for restarting computer.

2) Another cause for random reboots is that the computers processor is getting too hot. To check this, enter the computers bios during boot (usually by pressing Delete, F1 or F10 when the computer just starts) and there will be an option about the computers temperature (often under “PC Health”).

This should show you the current temperature of the computer and the emergency shutdown temperature. The emergency shutdown temperature is a safeguard for when your computer gets too hot it will shut itself down to prevent damage.

You can either raise the shutdown temperature or switch it off completely, however be warned that you may damage your computer if the computer gets too hot. If the temperature was causing the reboots then you should consider getting better cooling for the computer such as more powerful CPU fans and more case fans.

3) Have you done any change to your computer like installing new software or hardware, Depending on the software or hardware, my first reaction would be to look to the vendor for reported problems and possible updates. In particular, device drivers are the most likely to cause crashes and reboots without warning.
You should make sure that your system is as up-to-date as possible, particularly including drivers for recently installed hardware.

4)Is there any unexpected shut down of your computer last time before it started restarting? If yes, it may be caused by corrupted OS. Tenorshare Data Recovery WinPE would do the trick to fix system corruption due to virus attack or other reasons, random windows crash, blue screen of death and black screen of death, etc.

These are most common reasons that may cause your PC to restart. Most of them are easy to fix. Remember, it’s not wise to open your system case if you don’t know about it. Turn to professionals.
